About The Block Library
We test WordPress plugins and blocks the way you actually use them—by installing, breaking, fixing, and shipping them in real projects. Our goal is simple: clear, practical reviews and tutorials that save you hours and help you build faster. We built The Block Library because most roundup posts stop at features; we go hands-on with a transparent 1–10 score, performance checks, and real-world implementation notes so you can pick the right tool with confidence.
What we cover
- Hands-on reviews of WordPress plugins, blocks, and themes
- Tutorials, templates, and workflows for editors and developers
- Performance, accessibility, and SEO considerations you can apply right away
How we review
Every product we review is installed on a test site and used in a real-world scenario. We score on a 1–10 scale across usability, features, documentation, performance, support, and value. Learn more on our Review Methodology page.
Who we are
The Block Library is written and edited by Pär, Olle, and Sravan—WordPress practitioners at a web agency in Stockholm, Sweden. We spend our days building client sites and products; this site is where we document what actually works.

Editorial independence
We buy many tools with our own budget. When vendors provide licenses, we disclose it and apply the same test process. Affiliate links may appear; they never affect our ratings. If a product changes after publication, we update our review notes.
